Trond has twenty years of experience in emerging markets, mostly in Russia and Ukraine. The last two decades have given him unparalleled skills in navigating the often difficult and dangerous business environments of this part of Europe, not to mention a contact book of enviable proportions. Trond says that he sees his role rather like that of a sherpa who knows how to get to get to the summit, even if the weather is treacherous and can’t be seen. “I know where the tracks are, the cracks and all the crevices,” he laughs.
