THE DETAILS

Our troop leaders are Dana Nahai and Donna Ramaswamy. Our girls meet every other Tuesday after school from 2:45-3:40pm. We will provide a healthy snack during each meeting. (Please advise of any food allergies.)

Our first meeting is on September 18, 2012. We will meet every two weeks from this date unless otherwise notified. You must register your interested 2nd grader and pay the membership fee before her first meeting. You can register at https://www.gsgatl.org/Pages/default.aspx (cut and paste into your browser). Click "Join US", then click "eBiz." Then "Become a new member" then "click here to create your profile and join Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta." Enter your daughter's information and your information as Guardian. Purchase the GIRL Membership valid from 10/01/12-9/30/13. Pay the $12 dues.

The focus of our troop will be on personal journeys and community service. For this the girls will have an opportunity to earn badges and develop new skills.

COSTS

Our troop is not planning any fundraising activities this year (no cookie sales, chocolate sales, etc). Annual troop dues are $150 and uniforms/manuals fees are $50. Expenses for travel/experiences not covered by dues will be covered by each girl's family. Scholarships available based on need-please call troop leaders.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

We will hold a mandatory parent meeting on Oct 7th 3-4p (location TBA). In 2013 we will be transitioning our troop to a co-op and looking for ways that our troop parents can get involved.

PICKUP

You can park in the elementary carpool lane to pick up your girl from Python Hall no later than 3:40pm on the scheduled meeting day. If your girl attends aftercare please notify aftercare and us so we can walk her over after the meeting concludes at 3:40p.
