Troy Barnett is the founder and principal of Barnett & Company, Inc., Certified Public Accountants, in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Leveraging more than 15 years of experience as a senior tax advisor, he provides a range of tools and resources to his clients. Along with specialized accounting functions, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and tax expertise, Troy Barnett strives to offer professional, responsive, and quality assistance to individuals and closely held businesses.

The philosophy that drives Barnett & Company is that a taxpayer should only pay what he or she owes. Because individual and corporate tax obligations can vary greatly, Troy Barnett can help his clients minimize the overall tax burden by developing a sound fiscal plan. Through creative ideas that are tailored for each client, he and his staff build and implement financial programs that protect an individual's assets and interests.

Prior to opening his certified public accountancy corporation in 2004, Mr. Barnett was a Senior Manger with Deloitte & Touche LLP in the firm's offices in Costa Mesa, California. At Deloitte, he reviewed tax returns, researched potential tax issues, and verified filings' compliance with federal and state laws. He also sought out consulting opportunities for tax and accounting services with a number of multinational and domestic companies in the sectors of technology, retail, entertainment, and manufacturing. Hired in 1995 as an Audit Associate and rapidly promoted, Troy Barnett first came to Deloitte through a summer internship program as an undergraduate student.

Troy Barnett attended the University of Southern California and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1994. He later returned to the University to earn his Master's degree in Business Taxation.
