I am a part-time philosopher, really part-time teacher, but until those pay the bills, I work for law enforcement. I hope to write and teach in the not too distant future. I study philosophy because it helps me to think more precisely, which is helpful in virtually every other area of my life. I have an almost morbid sense of humor that some might not think fits well with my Christian ethics, but those people would be wrong. Sometimes I think that my interests, motivations and personality are better suited for an older time, but I also know that might be the reason why I'm here now: some of the old ways of looking at things are being threatened and I am well-suited for defending them. Three things have changed me as a person: becoming a disciple of my Lord Jesus, becoming a husband to my wife Jess, and becoming a dad to my daughter Faith.
