Troyvoi Hicks

Prior to founding a consulting firm, The Troy of All Trades, in 2011, Troyvoi Hicks spent more than a decade working with a variety of educational organizations and nonprofits. In 2001, he accepted a position as founding principal of Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy in Oakland, California. In this role, he managed the Academy’s budget, trained staff, and implemented a curriculum. In addition, Troyvoi Hicks oversaw the building and permitting process, petitioned the school board for a charter, and built the school community. His work at the Academy helped it become the Oakland Unified School District’s top public high school.

After leaving Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy, Troyvoi Hicks joined the Remembering When Foundation as Director of Programs. He reported to the organization’s founder and executive director and supervised aspects of its programming, such as volunteer coordination and marketing.

Troyvoi Hicks also worked for Executive Temps, the leading employment agency for the entertainment industry. As the Director of Placement, he was responsible for screening and placing temporary & permanent personnel at major networks and studios, client liaison, marketing & promoting the company through various venues, managing company website, creating publications, and conducting original research and writing.

In addition to his work at The Troy of All Trades, where he helps both nonprofits and for-profit companies expand, Troyvoi Hicks is the Instructional Director for Micro-Enterprise Public Schools in Long Beach.
