Trust Onyekwere

Trust Onyekwere is a Project Craftsman and Technology Consultant. Currently, the Director of RAD5 Academy; a technology and innovation centre in Aba, Abia State that provides core 21st century coding and programming skills alongside mentorship for tech startups.

Due to his hands-on knowledge and enthusiasm in tech startups, Trust has spoken in different technology-focused events with the sole purpose of intimating people with new products in the coding world, alongside encouraging and spurring young people in the technology circle to learn new skills and key into opportunities and best practices.

Trust is currently the co-lead for Google Developers Group Aba, a global technology community powered by Google with the mission of using Google technologies to solve problems and enhance technology education.

He recently was appointed as an Atlassian Community Events (ACE) Leader to grow the community of project managers, agile software developers, product managers and increase the success of software development projects in Aba, Abia State.

In 2019, Trust led the Africa Code Week project in Aba, Abia state through TeenHack sponsored by Google to train and introduce over 600 kids in game development and virtual reality.

As an active player in Nigeria's tech community, Trust Onyekwere envisions a future where young people will not only be equipped with programming and coding skills, but will also use their technology-based skills to tackle striking problems in the community and bring lasting solutions.

Through his unrelenting passion in Technology and entrepreneurship, Trust Onyekwere has participated in national and international competitions which are geared towards front lining the efficacy of Applications and programming knowledge in today’s technology-focused world.

Trust Onyekwere is a strong disciple of teamwork, optimism, dexterity, dedication and focus. He believes intentional investment in technology and entrepreneurship for young people will yield amazing and tremendous positive results.
