Tsakani Mabuza
Student, Teacher, and Volunteer in Auckland Park (Brixton)
Hi, I am Tsakani Mabuza, a dedicated third-year student at the great University of Johannesburg pursuing her Bachelor of education degree. Currently a student teacher as Mboweni Secondary School. I am passionate about teaching and community development, and I actively volunteer at Rosehaven Old Age Home, where I provide care and companionship to elderly residents. This role has nurtured my empathy, patience, and commitment to serving others, building the qualities that I bring into my academic and professional journey.
I am also the founder of Giving Is in Our Heart, an organization dedicated to empower individuals in disadvantage communities across the province of Limpopo. Through this initiative, I strive to create opportunities that inspire hope and resilience. In addition, I provide free online tutoring in Grade 11 and 12 History and Mathematical Literacy for under-performing learners at my former high school. This work reflects my belief in education as a powerful tool for transformation and my dedication to uplifting young people through knowledge.
Beyond my academic and service commitments, I enjoy reading extensively, with a particular interest in African Literature, Historical biographies, and motivational books. These genre broaden my perspective as a History student teacher. I am driven by the vision of becoming an educator who not only teaches but also inspires, combining scholarship, leadership, and community service to make a meaningful impact in society.
