Terrell Samuels

An entrepreneur recognized in 2013 as “Entrepreneur of the Week” on the “Most Powerful List” published by the Mahvrick Network, Terrell Samuels has an extensive background in marketing and business management. As president of ATG Mortgage, Inc., in Houston, Terrell Samuels leveraged his knowledge of commercial and residential real estate financing to double the company’s income annually.

In 2006, he sold the company to Countrywide, Inc. The next year, he opened The Marketing Doctor, LLC, in Los Angeles, providing specialized assistance to medical doctors. Terrell Samuels also co-founded Huzo, Inc., in 2008, and Huzo.com, a social media platform for the purchase of movies, music, games and e-books with the option for customers to give back two percent of their purchase to select charities. He sold that company in 2012 and today continues to operate H.O.M.E., a Beverly Hills restaurant in California, which he co-owns with Los Angeles Clippers’s Ryan Hollins.

In addition to his interest in start-ups, Terrell Samuels enjoys travel and sports. He has traveled to more than 30 countries and many cities within the United States. Samuels stays in shape by working out and stays abreast of most national hockey, football, and basketball teams through personal friendships. Prior to the Vancouver Grizzlies relocating to Memphis, Tennessee, Samuels worked with some recognizable retired players in an attempt to purchase the team.
