I'm a student and researcher at the PhD program in Human Rights of University of Deusto, where I develop a research with CAPES scholarship (a Brazil's Ministry of Education research foundation) on the Basque Diaspora in Argentina focusing on Long Distance Nationalism, Transnacionalism, Social Media, Cyberculture, Imagined Communities and the transatlantic relationship between Homeland politics through internet and the political activity of left-wing Basque nationalist groups in Argentina.

I hold a degree (BA) in International Relations at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (from where I received a honorable mention award for my scientific initiation project in 2009 on cyber geography with PIBIC-CEPE/PUCSP funding) and an MA in Communication with full scholarship by FAPESP (the São Paulo state government foundation) focusing on Basque Diaspora, Social Media and Identity studies.

I'm a journalist and social activist (with experience working as a volunteer for groups such as the Grupo Tortura Nunca Mais [Never More Torture Group], Conectas, etc). I've worked as a writer/blogger for the Future Challenges project of Bertelsmann Foundation (Germany) and I write and translates for Global Voices Online and I'm a blogger at Huffington Post Brasil as well as I have published over 200 articles in newspapers, magazines and political websites, from the internationally recognized Open Democracy and Diário Liberdade to Brazilian news outlets such as Opera Mundi, Brasil de Fato and Carta Capital.
