Meet Tynisha Ferguson - Writer, Editor, Photographer, Videographer, and Graphic Designer living in Florence, SC.
Tynisha Ferguson is a communications professional who loves to write, edit, and report for news, magazines, and nonprofit organizations. She is a 2014 Master of Arts graduate from Full Sail’s New Media Journalism program.
She is a Winthrop University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Writing with a minor in Social Sciences and she enjoys producing creative material to suite any business or organization's need.
Some of her work has appeared in print and online for GenTwenty, MXDWN, Women Writers, Women[’]s Books, The American Red Cross of Augusta, The (North Augusta) Star, Points North Atlanta, and The Northside Bride.
Currently, Tynisha is working as a Communications and Technology Specialist for South Carolina Advanced Technological Education (SCATE) Center of Excellence at Florence-Darlington Technical College where she develops content and maintains two online resource collections, websites, newsletters, social media outlets, and exhibits, including photography and the coordination of photography and video. She also from time to time crafts stories, research based papers, articles, newsletters, and other written material. Her most notable accomplishment since working at the SCATE Center has been implementing a communications strategy that led to the successful development of the new SCATE website:http://scate.org/.
Prior to working for the SCATE Center, Tynisha served as a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) for a year where she indirectly served inner city, disadvantaged youth, and low/moderate income families in the Central Savannah River Area.
