I am glad you came to my about.me page! I am a Colorado Native with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I have a strong background in workforce development. I have an in depth knowledge of several workforce development programs like the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), and a familiarity with programs such as Employment First (EF) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). My ultimate career goal is to make a significant and positive impact in people’s lives and that’s why I have come to love working in workforce development. I lived in NY, NY for 2 years where I learned to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently through a full-time volunteer opportunity. That experience cultivated my talent of connecting with people from various walks of life quickly and comfortably. Over the years I have learned that making these connections through my knack for active listening, teaching, and motivating are the ingredients to a good day in my book. I hope you enjoy my page and any comments/feedback are very much welcomed.
