As the Partners in Mission Coordinator for the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, educator at two local colleges, Northeast Iowa Community College and Professor at the University of Dubuque in the MBA level Global Communications Course, Karen is a seasoned executive in development and communication. Her experience, spread over a twenty year period includes leadership and management of fund development, communications, marketing, strategic planning, diversified groups and database configuration. She is educator, speaker, writer and facilitator.

As a practicing Catholic, Karen believes in developing the relationship the old fashioned way, through personalization and with one on one relationship building. Karen follows the “Donor Bill of Rights”, ensuring privacy and confidentiality when cultivating communities of stewardship and generosity of each and every “partner.”

Karen holds multiple certifications and degrees. She is Blackbaud Certified in eTapestry, an expert in Microsoft Office Products as a Certified Trainer and completed four degrees, one of which is her Master’s in Business Administration and Management received from the University of Dubuque.

Currently, Karen serves as the Communications Chair for the Associations of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Tri-State Chapter (AFP-GTS), Marketing Manager for the Sustainable Dubuque Wading Pool Gardens, website designer for many of the local Catholic schools and businesses in and surrounding the Dubuque area, and past board member of a local not for profit humanitarian organization that provides housing, clothing and basic needs to homeless and low-income families.

Karen is a proud mother of two daughters, and receives love and support from her husband, Todd. Together, the Tuecke family and their pet dog Kali, reside in Dubuque, Iowa.
