I’m a founding director of Future Brilliance USA, a charity that trains people in vulnerable and post-conflict areas the work skills needed for economic opportunity. It’s a wonderful project that is devoted to fairness, stability and respect. We are proud to be gender-balanced, particularly as we operate in conservative communities. Do check out our remarkable Digital Literacy Initiative, which was originally conceived as a corollary to our Jewelry training program in Jaipur, India. The resulting jewelry collection from our talented Afghan students has been called Aayenda, which means 'future' in Dari.

You can find me editing a scholar or journalist’s long-form essay in World Affairs Journal.

I’m a dual British/American citizen but originally from Santa Monica, California, did a fair amount of growing up in Australia and have Samoan heritage. The seaside is in my DNA but as an adult I’ve lived in Seattle, Chicago, London and Prague. In 2014 I relocated to Los Angeles with my English Labrador, Max; we’re both loving the Vitamin D.

I’m proud of the company I keep. I've been fortunate to run research and marketing projects for some great organizations such as RIBA, INSSO, Urban Productions and Metropolitan. Please check out my LinkedIn for more info.
