Vivek Tulsidas

I have been lucky to see much of what life has to offer in a relatively small amount of time. Born and brought up in United Arab Emirates, I have seen the enough of the crazy city life already to develop a serious dislike for it. Also having done part of my schooling in the serene and picturesque surroundings of a village called Chantar near Bramhavara, Karnataka, India, I have been fortuitous to see the innocence of people who are happy leading their lives in a humble manner, making the most of what they can get and still not complaining.

Few facts about me:

  • I am a kannadiga with ludicrous linguistic skills in Kannada. I am not a North Indian, but I can probably speak better Hindi than an average North Indian can.
  • I am a brahmin who loves talking/eating/discussing the best places to feast on non-vegetarian cuisine.
  • I am a Hindu who does not bother to acknowledge it unless prompted to do while filling one of those legal documents.
  • I believe in God but not necessarily in an 'orthodox' ( idol worship, going to temples, reciting mantras) manner.

For some unknown reasons, I have developed a special interest in embedded systems and computer architecture. This interest has motivated me to pursue graduate studies in a domain which will yield solutions for the next generation of high-end computing devices.

Apart from this, I try and study whatever I can about wild-life and ornithology to fuel my interest in photography. I also love playing table tennis ( ping-pong ) whenever time permits.
