3. Advisor to Chairperson for Al Maha Printing & Stationery Services

Bahwan Furnishings has revenues of close to US$ 20 million, about 300 permanent + contract employees and a manufacturing & warehousing complex spread over 250,000 sq ft. There are 4 independent business areas – Manufacturing of Joinery products; Retailing Domestic & Office furniture; Fit-Out services for hospitality, office & commercial sectors; & Kitchen Furniture.
Successfully grew the P&L and entered new business areas. Set up a large greenfield manufacturing plant which increased capabilities & product range, and improved productivity & cost efficiency. Increased the number of Retail Showrooms. Designed first-ever business strategies & strengthened senior management team. Bagged record-breaking contracts in Oman.

My additional responsibilities are:
1. Non – Executive Director on the Board of Oman Ceramics: Guiding the management team on business strategy, corporate governance, expansion plans etc for this listed company, which manufactures ceramic sanitary ware and is one of the leaders in the GCC region
2. Oversight responsibility for Al Maha Printing & Stationery Services: Strategize & oversee the business - a fast growing venture in the field of printing & packaging – and am positioning the company to offer differentiated packaging & security printing services, unique in the entire GCC / Middle East.

Significant Achievements:
► Grew revenues by a CAGR of 35% + for 2012 & 2011, for the manufacturing business

► Doubled revenues for the Retail business in 3 years (across 2012, 2011 & 2010) by re-strategizing the Retail business.
