TUYISHIMIRE Etienne is a PhD candidate at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, P.R. China, Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou, Gansu, P.R. China. He holds a Masters degree in Agriculture, majoring in Soil Science, from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, P.R. China; Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chengdu, Sichuan, P.R. China; and a Bachelors degree in Soil Sciences from the University of Rwanda, Kigali, Rwanda. His research interests include sustainable land management and restoration of degraded land, soil salinization management, halophytes, soil physics, ecohydrology, soil quality, global change ecology, soil environment science, and climate change.
