Takis Varelas

Majored in Chemistry, Operation Research, Management and Information Science He spent more than thirty years in managerial positions in maritime and computer enterprises .He joined Danaos Corporation as Chief Research Officer since 2004.

First of first in pan-Hellenic universities entrance examinations in 1968, Graduated Chemist from University of Athens with excellence, awarded with bursaries from Greek national institute of scholarship all over under-graduate studies as well as for post-graduate abroad studies.

Professor of Management Information Systems of Technical University of Crete (1985-1996. Franz Edelman Award Laureate, the highest distinction in operation research.
