Known initially as Bachman Lake Tacos, the spot became famous for its traditional recipes, fresh ingredients, and handmade tortillas. What began as a modest operation soon blossomed into a must-visit destination for taco enthusiasts across Texas. Driven by a desire to offer more than just tacos, Twisted Trompo expanded its menu, blending traditional flavors with creative, modern twists. In 2013, the brand gained wider recognition when it was featured on The Cooking Channel’s Food(ography) and earned accolades from the Dallas Observer, solidifying its reputation for excellence. The downtown Dallas location, with its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to quality, became a key hub for locals and visitors alike. Twisted Trompo’s continued success led to the opening of a second location on Broadway Blvd in Garland, TX. The brand’s growth is a testament to its founder’s dedication to preserving the authenticity of Mexican street tacos while offering a unique dining experience.
