about.me This new redesign is stupid

This redesign of about.me profiles is unacceptable and I refuse to participate.

A personal landing page should be personal. If I do not want to share particular information like location or be able to not have a spotlight item, I should be able to.

Your decision to create tangible value to your users has done quite the opposite. Removing the ability to have control over what I choose to have as my personal landing page has forced me to remove the about.me links that I have utilized over the past many years. I will opt for a more "personal" solution.

You can do better. You can find a better balance between the simplicity that you covet and true usability.
