Matthew Murry
Matthew Murry is a teacher and educator from Shreveport, LA. Matthew started his career in education when he was very young by helping out as a chaperone for field trips to the local children's science museum. Having discovered a passion for seeing young people grow, Matthew embarked upon a journey to attain a degree in education, with a mission to instill young minds with the same passion for learning that he has. In 2009, he graduated from Louisiana State University Shreveport. He worked in many different classrooms as a substitute after college and became a jack-of-all-trades teacher. In 2012, Matthew became a member of the Shreveport Job Corps Center's High School Diploma staff. In the short time he was there, he was promoted to head and run the James Madison High School diploma program. The center as a whole saw a significant increase in the number of students attaining a high school diploma from this program. In 2013, left the Job Corps Center to enter the public school system and became a 7th Grade ELA teacher at Ridgewood Middle School. Having noticed his knowledge of technology, the admins at Ridgewood offered Matthew the job as the schools Robotics and Technology teacher, which he currently fulfills today.
