Hi, I'm Ty and this is my dorm room. You can see the door, closet, and mirror all in the background. Luckily these I did not have to bring my own from home, unlike the rest of the room which you cannot see. The laundry that has yet to be folded and sorted, the sneakers clumsily thrown under the desk, the binders and notebooks wide open: these I had to buy or take with me. The messiness of the room is not much of a problem to me because I can view it as controlled chaos. Even though everything is seemingly randomly placed, I tend to remember where things are or the general area of where they might be. Fortunately for me, my roommate is almost the exact same way. His side of the room looks just as disorganized, but he likes it how it is. Even though I do not mind how the state of the room is, it is not something I would flaunt. If I leave the room I would not want someone passing by to see the mess because they might get the wrong idea. For example, if I had taken a picture capturing the rest of the room and someone does not read the bio, they might just assume that I am a complete slob. That is not really an impression that I want to give off, hence the picture of the cleanest corner.
