Tyler Van Tubbergen

I just graduated from Western Michigan University and would consider myself to be a highly motivated student athlete. I am very ambitious, and plan on attending law school in the next two years. To a potential employer, I would bring a hard working mentality, be a team player, punctual, as well as an attitude that will allow me to succeed in whatever it is that I am hired to do. In the field of law, job opportunities are available to those that graduate from a prestigious school with high grades. Legal professional careers are expected to grow by 10% (average growth rate) by 2020, which I feel gives me a good chance to find work in this field. I feel that there are some things that I do well that I would consider strenghts when it comes to attributes for a job. I work hard and produce quality work, and I feel that I also can problem solve very well. One of my weaknesses, but something that I continue to try and improve upon, is procrastination. This will be something that I will fix over time, and eventually I will become someone who always gets the needed work done ahead of time. I feel that my core product (benefits) is the quality of work that I produce. My actual product (skills) is that I am organized and detail oriented. I feel that this is something that will really help me in the field that I wish to go into. My augmented product (competitive advantage) is that I played football for 4 years at Western, which gives me unique attributes such as how to work with a large team, problem solving skills, and mental toughness. Potential employers can communicate with me through my multiple apps that I have created on this page, whether it be Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter, or Instagram. I am going to graduate on 12/15/12 in 3 1/2 years from Western Michigan University. I will have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, while I also minored in General Business.
