Tyler Joseph White
I am currently attending Georgetown University in Washington, DC, set to graduate from Georgetown College in May of 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Philosophy.
By night, this summer I am a host at the 1789 Restaurant, a hallmark of American fine dining; by day I am a researcher at the Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development (GUCCHD) and the George Washington University Meltzer Center for Psychological Services.
I have worked at the GUCCHD since September of 2011, formerly investigating stress and coping in families of children with autism spectrum disorders & now researching Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), documents drafted for children under three years of age who require Early Intervention (EI) services such as occupational therapy or speech-and-language therapy.
I am passionate about college student mental health, in particular, and mental hygiene, in general. I also love New York sports (I'm a Yankees, Giants, and Knicks fan) and not only do I enjoy listening to--and taking fashion tips from--Knicks legend and current broadcaster Walt Clyde Frazier, but I also relish in discussing Knicks basketball (and eating sushi) with my 90-year-old grandmother Carmela (Millie).
When I have free time--which is rare-- I like to go jogging, view a movie, or read a good book. And let's not forget that my great friends put a smile on my face everyday!
