Tyler Allen is a Gainesville, FL-based undergraduate research assistant who has worked with Santa Fe College for two years. In the role, Tyler Allen helps physics students at the Gainesville, FL institution with their final projects.

He also actively looks to increase interest in technology and science-related subjects through the demonstration of a hexapod robot, among other methods. Working alongside students, he aims to increase access to educational materials by 3D printing parts for laboratory experiments. Additionally, he helps students create their own 3D model designs which he then helps them print.

Tyler Allen is also a research assistant at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, which he joined in January 2020. Through the undergraduate research position, he is investigating gamification and its possible effects on engineering education. Using his team’s research, he develops software applications designed to increase student participation in class.

Mr. Allen is also pursuing a bachelor of science in computer science at the university.
