I am a freelance writer and editor living in New York City who specializes in arts and cultural coverage and editorial strategy.

I am the former Deputy Editor at Decider, the New York Post's entertainment vertical. I helped launch the site in 2014 and developed its tone, voice, and vision.

Previously, I was the Deputy Editor at Flavorwire and a senior editor at BlackBook.

My writing has appeared in a variety of places, including The Awl, Brooklyn Magazine, Capital New York, FourTwoNine, GOOD, Gothamist, The Hairpin, Idolator, Matter, Men's Journal, Nylon, Out, Popdust, Ratter, Slate, Thirteen.org, This Recording, The Village Voice, Vox, and Yahoo.

I co-created and co-starred in the web series Disappointing Gay Best Friend and have performed on stage at The Pit, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, The Bell House, and The Annoyance Theatre in New York and iO (formerly Improv Olympic) and The Playground in Chicago. I co-created and co-hosted the reading series Say It To My Face!, and participated in readings at Housing Works Bookstore and Café, Happy Ending, and Film Society Lincoln Center.
