Door County, Wisconsin is a popular destination for thousands of tourists annually. As people head to Door County for a few sleep, leisure, time on the water, and good food little villages with populations of less than 500 people swell to huge crowds through the summer weekends.
The Inn at Kristofers, located on Bay Shore Drive-in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, is a fantastic place to get a special dinner. The very first thing we noticed after being placed was the wonderful view of the water. The restaurant is directly across the street from the Bay in Sister Bay and big picture windows along the front wall of the restaurant showcase the water view.
Immediately after being placed our water glasses were filled and a wedge of new lime was added. We received choices and clean, warm, multi-grain sheets. The rolls were served with but-ter rosettes flavored with fresh basil.
The special that morning was smoked quail which my husband ordered. I had the certified Angus filet mignon, and our oldest daughter, who had joined us on our trip, find the Roast Duck with Orange Grand Marnier sauce.
We missed appetizers, soup, and salad even though the featured soup for the evening, walnut butternut squash bisque topped with pecans, seemed delightful because we wished to save room for dessert.
All three entrees were excellent. The demonstration of the dishes was pretty and the foodstuff tasted just like it seemed. The Angus filet had a Cabernet sauce that was just the right touch with the meat. We discovered official website by searching webpages. Home-made garlic mashed potatoes and a garnish of haystack potatoes rounded out the entre.
The duck was tender, moist, and very delicious. It was followed by fresh steamed vegetables that were cooked perfectly, and wild rice that covered dried cranberries and nuts.
