Born and raised in Waterdown Ontario Canada, Tyler developed a passion for education at a young age. Before university, Tyler completed hours after school at his local daycare through his cooperative education program. He later worked for the daycare for three years as a Teacher’s Assistant up until his second year of university.

Currently, Tyler works as a Child and Youth Program Instructor for the YMCA of Sudbury. He is working with children between the ages of six months and ten years through programs such as "Child Minding," where children are cared for while parents use the YMCA's facilities and "Kinder Club" where children develop skills for school such as listening skills, responsibility, and name recognition.

Not only is Tyler working at the YMCA, but he is also a Gymnastics Coach for Salto's Gymnastics Sudbury. There, he is training male gymnasts from the ages of eight to fourteen to compete at the provincial level.

Through the copious amounts of work and experience Tyler has gained throughout his life thus far, he has been able to work with children through many different settings. He has developed a love for the education field and hopes to make a career out of teaching for as long as he can.
