Tyler Plofker

Hi, My name is Tyler Plofker. I am currently an accounting major at the Isenberg School of Management of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

I am currently involved in the Accounting Association, and have been involved in organizations such as the Association of Diversity in Sport, Boxing Club, and the National Democratic Committee.

Over the past 3-4 years I have developed a huge passion for baseball analysis, also known as Sabermetrics, as I beleive it is not only interesting, but a beatiful pathway to critical business thinking. Studying Sabermetrics, as well as doing a little research of my own using Fangraphs data, has opened up my way of thinking in more ways than I have ever thought possible. The lessons baseball teaches concerning market inefficencies, as well as the ability to question public perception, are some of the most important things I've been able to apply to bussiness.
