Tyler Pridmore
Lubbock, Texas
Tyler Pridmore is a sophomore in the Texas Tech Honors College who is pursuing his degree in Energy Commerce with a minor in Geology. At a very young age, the sight and workings of a pump jack arose his interest. That interest grew into a passion for his field of study in the Energy Industry. Tyler is a goal oriented individual, and this can be seen through his making of the President's List his first two semesters at Texas Tech, as well as his involvement in Gamma Beta Pi, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, and the Texas Tech Archery Team. Reaching these goals does not come without determination. Tyler has been a determined individual through his years of athletics and academics alike, where he refused to settle, and despised coming up short. Tyler has a very diverse background that can be attributed to his life travels to several different continents. This diverse background gave rise to diverse knowledge. His great communication skills were shown while he coached the Monterey High School summer baseball team. Tyler adapted to being able to teach his knowledge to kids younger than him, while at the same time being able to deal with parents in a professional way. Being the sole ranch manager on his family's ranch has developed in him a great sense of responsibility. His adaptive nature is seen in determining planting times, and proper wildlife conservation practices, in an area of very unpredictable weather. Tyler was born a leader, serving as the Senior Class President at his high school, and now the Academic Chair of the Delta Tau Delta Pledge Class. As well rounded and passionate Tyler is, he would be an asset to any company.
