Tyler Ross moved from Manhattan to San Francisco, California, with his wife and daughter after living in New York City for over ten years. The family is adjusting to their new life on the West Coast. In his spare time, when not spending time with his daughter or working on his books, Tyler explores and documents the Bay Area’s sights, sounds, culture, and food, providing insight for those considering a similar move.

He works his way through 62 miles of mountain bike trails and bike lanes, rating the routes by difficulty and mapping out the best bike-friendly paths. His efforts help others who are interested in cycling in the area.

Tyler also has a deep love for food. Having lived in Manhattan, he tests the theory that San Francisco’s food scene is even better. Tyler is eager to try every cuisine the city offers, from Mexican to Chinese, Italian to Japanese. He particularly enjoys fresh seafood, including local crabs and oysters, staples of the Bay Area’s vibrant food culture. With so many farm-to-table restaurants, Tyler continuously discovers new flavors that enhance his culinary experience.

In addition to food and cycling, Tyler is a collector of rare stamps, coins, historical books, and manuscripts. His collection allows him to connect with history and appreciate the unique stories behind each item. Tyler is also an enthusiastic tennis and golf player, seeking to improve his skills in both sports.
