tylerWRIGHTEOUS is an alternative hip-hop artist/producer hailing from Stafford, Virginia. Raised by two musicians, it was inevitable that Tyler Wright would inherit the same passion of his parents. From the age of four, Tyler was a passionate singer in church as well as school. Eventually, he would develop a love for hip-hop through artists such as Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, A Tribe Called Quest, and many others. After graduating high school in 2009, Tyler self-released his first mixtape The Declaration under the name Wrighteous (inspired from Finding Nemo and his best friend, Jeff. don't laugh) Since then, tylerWRIGHTEOUS has changed his name and has released five mixtapes as well as an EP on his own. His last release, The Nice Guy EP was released in 2012, recieved recognition from artists such as XV & Naya Rivera (Glee). Now, after taking almost a two-year hiatus, Tyler is returning with his debut album "nimbus", which will showcase his growth as an artist over his journey in life. Tyler prides himself on making pure, honest music about what he experiences. What you see is what you get; no gimmicks. In a world filled of artists scared to be themselves, Tyler provides an alternative for listeners that are proud of who they are and aren't afraid to show it. Never cocky, Tyler's confidence comes from his motto "Ninth Nimbus", which represents living life on cloud 9 and never settling for anything less than the best.
