All my life I have always been afraid to try due to the fear of failure, potential rejection, and always allowing competition to scare me off. I’m one of those people who do not like to live my life drowning in regrets, but there were so many opportunities and chances that I never took advantage of me. It was almost like door that were opened for me I closed myself. Now that I’m in college I’ve learned that a no is simply “no”, and every time it occurs I don’t have to take it so personally.
I now know to rely on my faith in God and he always affirms to me that I could do all things through Him who strengthens me. He gives me encouragement, so that I can encourage myself. I turned my negative into a positive and used my competition as a driving force to achieve my goals, and now I am at the top of my game. This sense of failure gave me the understanding that I can't run from competition because it will always be there. Instead, I will use the competition to work harder and be better. Failure is often defined as the condition or fact of not achieving the desired end, but in my book failure is a pathway towards a stepping stool to greatness.
