Tyler Rockey
Portland, OR
I Grew up in Flagler Beach, FL and graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School in 2003. I moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida majoring in Sport Management, minoring in Business Administration and graduated with a B.S degree.
After my graduation I accepted an internship as a statistician and play by play analyst with the Philadelphia 76ers NBA team. Upon returning to Florida from my internship I was offered a coaching position with a high school lacrosse team in Gainesville.
When the lacrosse season ended, I aquired a full time position as the general manager of Hibbett Sporting Goods in Lake City, FL. While working as the GM at Hibbett Sports, I was offered an internship with a local radio station as the color commentator for high school sports in the area.
I met my wife at the University of Florida and married her just before her graduation from veterinary school in 2012.
My passion is sports, especially college football. I have attended just about every Florida Gator home game since I was 3 years old. This streak sadly ended when Lauren and I moved to Portland, OR earlier this year. On the plus side Portland has given Lauren and I ample opportunities to explore some absolutely beautiful scenery and thoroughly enjoy the outdoors.
During the weekends I occupy my time with fly fishing, snow skiing, and hiking. I also enjoy doing photography and drawing/painting.
