On the hot Saturday afternoon of June9, 2012, Master Mason Tyrone B. Chavis and four other gentlemen were raised tothe sublime degree of Master Mason into the distinctive brotherhood of Widow’sSon Lodge #4 (Philadelphia, PA).

Mr. Chavis was born to Olivia Weeks and the lateTyrone Chavis on July 8, 1974. He is the eldest of three. He has onesister, Tiffany, and brother, Mark. He was educated in the Philadelphia Publicschool system and attended Community College of Philadelphia (Business) andTemple University (Economics).

Family is of the utmost importance to thisbrother. He is a loving and devoted father of three beautiful children, sons,Jordan and Aaron, and daughter, Julia.

Mr. Chavis has been a licensed real estateprofessional for 11 years and currently works with the City of Philadelphia inthe Department of Records while pursuing his entrepreneurial dreams.

In 1998, Mr. Chavis joinedthe 22nd House (Psi Chapter) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity,Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established forAfrican-Americans. He currently serves as the Junior Warden in his lodgein addition to being a member of the Most Excellent Grand Chapter of Holy RoyalArch Masons of Pennsylvania PHA (Eastern Light #8); DeMolay Consistory #1 PHA;Deborah Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star PHA (Norah F. Taylor #57); and thePhylaxis Society, an association of Freemasons who endeavor to learnmore about Prince Hall Freemasonry within the craft
