A human rights advocate, civic innovator, and the founder of Tyrone Havnar Foundation, a global platform equipping young people with practical leadership experiences that turn ideas into action.

His journey began in 2009 when he founded I Reach Out My Hand Africa, a grassroots initiative dedicated to amplifying voices in rural communities and creating opportunities for vulnerable groups. From those beginnings, Tyrone’s work grew into a continent-wide mission: building accessible leadership programs that equip young people with tools to lead change, defend human dignity, and shape inclusive governance.

Through programs like Leadership Under Pressure, Lead Without Limits and the Transformative Leadership Fellowship, Tyrone has designed training models that push participants beyond theory into real-world leadership. His work is especially noted for breaking barriers in inclusion ensuring that deaf and blind youth can access, participate in, and lead within the same spaces as their peers.

Beyond program design, Tyrone has consistently been at the forefront of human rights education using advocacy, mentorship and public campaigns to spread awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and inspire young leaders to see themselves as agents of change. His initiatives have nurtured Ambassadors across Southern Africa, India, Afghanistan and beyond, creating a ripple effect of youth-led projects in governance, education, and community development.

At his core, Tyrone believes leadership is not about titles but about service, courage and dignity. Every program he builds carries the same conviction: that human rights are only real when people can access them, claim them, and use them to transform lives.
