A Human Rights Defender, civic innovator, and Founder of Tyrone Havnar Foundation, a global platform equipping young people with practical leadership experiences that turn ideas into action.

Recipient of the Humanitarian Award 2021 for over 10 years of socia transfomation and African Influencer Award 2024. Under his leadership, Tyrone Havnar Foundation received an award for Most Inclusive Youth Leadership Platform 2026 - Zambia / Accessible Leadership Development Excellence Award 2026.

His journey began in 2009 with I Reach Out My Hand Africa, a grassroots initiative dedicated to amplifying voices in rural communities and creating opportunities for vulnerable groups. From those beginnings, Tyrone’s work expanded into a continent-wide mission: building accessible leadership programs that equip young people to defend human dignity, lead change, and shape inclusive governance.

Through programs like Leadership Under Pressure, Lead Without Limits, and the Transformative Leadership Fellowship, Tyrone designed training models that move participants beyond theory into action. His approach is especially recognized for breaking barriers to inclusion ensuring deaf and blind youth can access, participate in and lead alongside their peers.

He has nurtured and mentored youth Ambassadors across Southern Africa, India, Afghanistan, Libya and beyond, supporting youth-led projects in governance, education and community development grounded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Tyrone believes leadership is service, courage and dignity. Every program he builds carries the same conviction: human rights are only real when people can access them, claim them, and use them to transform lives.
