Tzadok Weinberg

Entrepreneur in New Jersey

Tzadok Weinberg operates at the intersection of healthcare administration and behavioral health services through his executive role at Eastern Healthcare and ownership of PeerStar, a specialized behavioral health company.

At Eastern Healthcare, Weinberg provides strategic oversight across skilled nursing facilities in Virginia, focusing on operational performance and governance. The organization maintainsmultiple facilities serving elderly populations requiring skilled nursing care.

PeerStar, founded 18 years ago, delivers behavioral health services through peer support models across Pennsylvania. The company's peer-to-peer approach connects individuals with lived mental health experience to those currently navigating similar challenges. Weinberg previously owned LifeParcel, a fertility logistics company that handled global courier services for cryopreserved reproductive materials, operating in 33 countries before its sale. The company provided hand-carry transportation for IVF materials and was exploring expansion into additional markets before the transaction.

His path into healthcare lacked traditional credentials. With no family connections in the industry and only a general business degree, Weinberg went door-to-door to nursing homes seeking entry-level positions. After six months of rejections, he received a call for an assistant administrator role at Grandell Nursing and Rehab in Long Beach, New York. He spent six months working 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. shifts as a dietary supervisor—making hash browns, peeling potatoes, and learning kitchen operations—before advancing through assistant administrator and administrator positions to facility ownership.

Outside corporate healthcare, Weinberg founded Gan Moshe Academy, a special education institution in Passaic, New Jersey (https://gemganmoshe.org/). The school has served more than 35 children with special needs over three years of operation, requiring program development, regulatory compliance navigation, and family coordination.

Weinberg maintains active volunteer commitments in emergency medical services. He serves as an EMT with Hatzolah of Passaic & Clifton, a volunteer emergency medical organization known for rapid response times in Jewish communities. He also volunteers with Hatzolah Air, which operates global emergency medical air transport using specialized aircraft and medical equipment for evacuation and humanitarian missions.

His educational background includes college credits earned through New York Institute of Technology during high school. He spent four years in Israel before returning to begin his career. Weinberg grew up in North Jersey, the youngest of seven children, with parents who were both teachers.

Two Virginia healthcare leaders have provided professional endorsements: Keith Hare, President and CEO of the Virginia Health Care Association and former Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and Marc Zimmet, CEO of Zimmet Healthcare Services Grou,p with over 30 years supporting more than 1,200 healthcare providers.

Weinberg's management approach emphasizes listening across organizational levels and building teams around character rather than credentials. He describes his strategy as being the "dumbest person in the room"—surrounding himself with people who possess deeper expertise in specific domains while he focuses on team assembly and strategic direction.
