Lisa, Michael and Suzy strive to make CU Boulder Career Services’ customer service for employers the best. Period. Internships, Career Fairs, Job listings, Networking, On-campus Marketing, Building your brand…the Outsiders have the answer.

Our constantly evolving internship program is headed up by Lisa Lovett. Lisa works hard to make sure our students know about the variety of opportunities offered by our employer base…while she strives to keep all employers up-to-date about the ins and outs of our internship program. This coupled with her coordination of the PIIE program, Intern Supervisor Training Program and internship course would be more than enough to keep anyone busy, but Lisa in also tops in Employer outreach. Having lead the Ambassadors of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce for the last few years, Lisa keeps CU Boulder in the minds of employers in the area.

Event Coordinator Suzy Shotts keeps the i’s dotted and the t’s crossed when it comes to planning, scheduling, and coordinating the three main career fairs and more than a half dozen formal networking events a year. While event coordination is her primary role, Suzy is our lead job posting processor and a major contributor to our outreach to the diverse populations on campus. Suzy’s attention to the details makes our events seem like they just happen by magic.

But why the name Outsiders? Employer Relations is a term that is quite descriptive, but a little ho hum. This is no ho hum group! We work with those companies and organizations Outside of the campus environment. We are available for meetings with you Outside of the office, and we try to think Outside of the box. So when your company wants to get the inside scoop of campus recruiting you have to go to an Outsider.
