Ujjawal Madan is a Georgia Tech MS in Analytics student presently enrolled on-campus. My background is quite unusual, as implied by the title. When I was in school, my two favorite subjects were math and music, which is a strange combination for many people. My undergraduate studies were set once I was admitted to Juillard, and I made the decision to dedicate my life to music, primarily orchestral playing. I did, however, work extensively with the Analytics team on trends, modeling, and forecasting during my internship in arts administration. I naturally made the switch to data science after being fascinated by analytics' capabilities and potential, as well as its expanding importance across all sectors. Right now, my top goals are learning more about data science, gaining experience with what I've learned, and coming up with creative solutions to difficult challenges.
