UJJWAL KUMAR
Architect Strategist Technologist in Singapore
Ujjwal Kumar is a lead architect working in Microsoft and he is based out of Singapore.
He works on cloud platforms including Azure, Bots, Blockchain, IOT, Cloud Native Intelligent Apps, Infrastructure, Security and 5G network private multi edge compute solutions. He is also passionate about Quantum Computing and he is co-lead of global Quantum Computing connected communities within Microsoft. Additionally, he is Azure Quantum Field Ambassador and collaborates with customers, partners and product teams related to Quantum inspired optimization solutions.
He enjoy working on envisioning digital strategies, architecture design sessions and code to create solutions/Proof of Concepts (POCs) with customers and partners using Azure platform. Additionally, he aims to enable enterprise customers and partners in realizing their potential through customer centric, secure, world class architecture design based on digital transformation principles, leveraging Azure and latest relevant platform, technologies.
During his last 15+ years at Microsoft, he has worked as principal technical evangelist, senior software engineer (Identity and Authentication lead) in commercial software engineering (CSE) group and partner consultant, development platform worldwide specialization lead in global partner services group.
He has led and driven a couple of "first in Asia/World" transformation projects with enterprise customers:
- Singapore Airlines (1st in the world to implement Blockchain based Loyalty system solution in production - 2018).
- Union Bank Philippines (1st in Asia to implement Blockchain based interbank payments - 2017)
- CapitaLand (1st in Asia – Intelligent Bot to serve end customers - 2016);
- Surbana Jurong (1st in Asia to work on intelligent elevator management solution using Cognitive, ML, IoT - 2016)
He likes to work with technical communities both inside and outside of Microsoft and have delivered 100+ talks at various enterprise customers, partners and academic events.
He is organizer of Singapore Quantum Computing meetup group and co-organizer of Singapore Q# development group. He also cofounded IoTCommunity and India Gamers Community in the past.
On academic front, he hold a masters degree (M.Tech) in Information and Technology Leadership from National University of Singapore (NUS) and a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
