Ukwanda Rozani

Student in Johannesburg, South Africa

I am a student living in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Senior and FET Phase Teaching at the University of Johannesburg, and I major in History and English. My studies have deepened my appreciation and interest in literature written by African authors and exploring themes that shape our society. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the principle that education should not require learners to separate from their identities and cultural backgrounds to succeed. Instead, through the integration of Indigenous Knowledge Systems, education should affirm who they are and equip them with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to contribute to society.

Outside my academic pursuits, I am a fan of music, reading, and trying different cuisines. I value intellectual conversations that allow me to gain different perspectives and learn from knowledgeable individuals.
