Hi! I'm Ulrika Hedlund. If you are reading this, I guess you want to know a bit more about me. The short version is that I’m a Swedish EdTech Entrepreneur and mother of three. I'm truly passionate about technology and storytelling.

Ever since I was a little girl I've been passionate about technology. Right after high-school, in 1995, I started working at a local computer store called DGC. I loved it and decided to pursue a career within technology and got a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, (KTH). During my studies, I started working part-time for Microsoft. I toured the country telling people how great SQL Server 7.0 and OLAP cubes were! After graduating in 2001, I started working full-time for Microsoft in Sweden.

In 2007 I moved to Dubai and started working for Microsoft Gulf, covering the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. I started as a Solution Specialist focusing on Enterprise Content Management, Business Intelligence, and Unified Communication.

In 2011, after finishing a Master of Business from London Business School (and having our first baby) I resigned from Microsoft and founded my first company – Business Productivity. The idea was to help companies drive more effective usage of Microsoft software by providing them with short, scenario-based tutorials. This was very well received and after a few years (and two more babies), a whole new concept – and a new company was born.

In 2018, I founded Storyals. The name derives from “story-based tutorials”. Storyals provides organizations with a modern training product with always up-to-date, real-life, story-based, educational videos that they can use to INSPIRE, MOTIVATE and EDUCATE their employees on how to effectively use Microsoft 365.

In 2022, after having endured the global pandemic, my husband Peter and I moved back to Sweden with our three children.

Even though I’m extremely busy educating users around the world on how to work smarter using technology, I’m still actively engaged in helping others.
