I am an editor at NOS "Podcast De Dag" & "Met het Oog op Morgen". I also regularly work as a moderator or chairperson. I am an (East) German living in the Netherlands. I am completely bilingual in German and Dutch.
From 2012 to 2021, I worked as a freelance journalist in Berlin for RBB, among others, as well as a camerawoman and Germany correspondent for various Dutch media outlets, including RTL Nieuws.
I grew up in East Berlin and consciously experienced the fall of the Berlin Wall as a 10-year-old.
I have in-depth knowledge of Germany — not only of the country itself, but also of its culture, history, politics, economy, language, and society. As Germany-expert I can provide insight and explain developments in Germany in the media -- such as elections, economic trends, or social debates. I want to help Dutch people better understand Germany: how Germans think, communicate, and make decisions. I am occasionally asked to appear as a commentator or expert on TV programs, radio, podcasts, or in newspaper interviews when something is happening in Germany.
