Born in Kiev in the former Soviet Union, Andrej Umansky studied law and history and obtained a PhD in history at the University of Picardy. He's attorney at law working in criminal law and administrative offences at the law firm GAZEAS NEPOMUCK RAe. He is also board member of the french NGO Yahad-In-Unum.
