UmbertoTosi–author of OpheliaRising– is contributing editor of ChicagoQuarterly Review.His published fiction includes OurOwn Kind,Satanthe Movieand MyDog's Name – three novellas set in LosAngeles, where he began a distinguished journalistic career with theLos Angeles Timesas a staffwriter and then, managing editor of the paper's Sunday magazine. Hemoved north and became editor of San Francisco Magazine,then managing editor of Francis Ford Coppola's City Magazine,editor-in-chief of the Diablo Magazine Group, as well editor atdigital publisher MightyWords.com. He founded LightFantastic Booksin 2006. He has published hundreds of articles and stories inregional and national magazines and reviews. His publishedbooks include the cold war spy biography, High Treason(GPPutnam & Sons) Sports Psyching(J.P. Tarcher), the Christmas novella, Milagroon 34thStreet, and a short story collection:Gunningfor the Holy Ghost. Umberto Tosi was bornin Boston.
