Umer Shamim

Hello,

My name is Umer Shamim and I am currently in the 3-year Business Administration program majoring in International Business. I am currently working at my parent’s restaurant, Tandoori Fusion located in Bells Corners.

I was born in Pakistan and came to Canada when I was 4 years old. I love playing and watching sports, which includes hockey, soccer, and basketball. I love travelling and have been to the United States, England, Pakistan, Sir Lanka. I would love to go to the United Arab Emirates, especially Dubai, and Saudi Arabia.

I went to Earl of March for my high school then came to Algonquin College for the Business Admin program. I have volunteered at the Ottawa Farmers Market and the BIPS (Bangladesh India Pakistan Sir Lanaka) Festival both as a Customer Service Representative. I am currently looking for a position in any company in which I can gain experience working in my field.

Upon graduating from Algonquin College, I wish to enhance my education by going to University and then doing my MBA. After finishing my education, I wish to work then start up my own import export business.
