UMX is a rap and musical artist from Indian occupied Kashmir. Drawing inspiration from various artists and his own interest towards the genre let him to make him rap music himself.

His stage name aside Umar Mukhtar hails from a conservative middle class family where creation and consumption of music is considered sinful or haram. The main motive of his music is to inspire people. Bring forth a change and reform mindsets.

Currently making his breakthrough while working with some of the biggest artists from kashmir. He is a part of the collective - Koshur Nizam which includes names like Ahmer, SXR, Qafilah, SOS, MC Kash and many more. He's experimenting with his sound and trying to create something extraordinary, not only in terms of rap but music as a whole
