Hello! My name is Unarine, and I am a student at the University of Johannesburg, pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Further Education and Training (FET) Teaching, majoring in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. I currently live in Brixton, Johannesburg, and I am passionate about learning, personal growth, and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy music, movies, and exploring different foods. I also have a strong interest in entrepreneurship and politics. On weekends, I run a small nail and doek business, which has taught me valuable skills such as responsibility, creativity, communication, and time management.
I am a passionate pre-service teacher who aspires to become an educator who inspires curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. My goal is to create an inclusive and supportive classroom where every learner feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
My teaching practice is underpinned by the belief that every learner is unique and capable of success when provided with meaningful learning opportunities, encouragement, and respect. I strive to build positive relationships with learners and create engaging lessons that connect learning to real-life experiences.
What will make me different as a teacher is my commitment to seeing each learner as an individual rather than just another student in the classroom. I aim to teach with empathy, creativity, and purpose, adapting my teaching to meet diverse learning needs while fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and confidence. I want my learners to leave my classroom not only with knowledge but also with the belief that they can achieve great things.
