Carmine Mattia

Carmine Mattia was brought up in the suburban powerhouse of Toms River, New Jersey. With many trials and failures to come after, such as the saxophone, Carmine discovered the guitar and eventually the bass guitar which is now his primary instrument, although he plays many. After being exposed to a lot of hip hop due to the times we live in he began taking influences from old school hip hop and began rapping and playing bass simultaneously. He formed a band with his friend and main collaborative partner, Tyler. After a year of writing and organic arranging, the two released their first full length album titled Something Kinda Smooth. After the albums release they gigged around NJ all summer before leaving for Berklee College of Music. There Carmine plans to fine tune his skills and arrive at his peak potential. With a natural approach and relentless desire Carmine solely intends on taking the music business and music culture for a much needed movement and return to the fundamentals, a movement to get back to things that sound good.
