someone once told me that to be good at writing, you have to do it every day. this someone was Lauren Oliver, so I’m thinking she knows what she’s talking about. that advice is probably relevant to most things in life, but I’ve always loved to write. so that’s why I decided to write this- as a creative outlet of sorts. in other words, who knows what you’re going to get.

before I even start, there are some things you need to know. you may be wondering already why I don’t capitalize sentences; the answer is, I don’t like to. I would like to think I’m different… but actually I just don’t like how it looks. that’s beside the point though.

the first thing you need to know about me is that I’m an aries. it’s probably not the most important part of my personality, but it is the first thing you’ll notice. & if you’re not an understanding person… it’s probably the last thing you’ll notice. because you’ll avoid me. forever.

if you don’t know what an aries is, you should look it up. according to my favorite horoscope app, “Aries people need to keep physically busy. They accomplish many things simply because of their restless energy. They need to learn how to make constructive use of their energetic efforts. The typical Aries urge is to take on more than can be done reasonably well. Though others may find it difficult to keep pace with an Aries, they are attracted to their animation and spirited personality.”

if you ask me, I think a few simple phrases say it better: stubborn. fiery. quick temper. low patience. & bossy as hell.

you know, while you’re looking up all the reasons you might have trouble being around me, look up yourself too. it’ll change your life. I’m kind of a firm believer, if you can’t tell. I check my horoscope every single day. sometimes twice. that’s because my best friend converted me.

my best friend is named kacy. she’s tiny, loud, & eccentric. she loves “old lady” things from goodwill. she likes to shock people with her quirky outfits- sometimes all black, sometimes a mustard-colored sweater, sometimes leather pants. she dances a lot, sings a lot, kisses a lot, & knows every line of 500 Days of Summer. I think she’s beautiful.

she’s the one who introduced me to The 1975, which is basically the most important thing in my life. okay not quite. but they make me happy. Menswear is my favorite, with Settle Down close behind. & of course everyone loves Sex. & C
