A community-based nonprofit organization with headquarters in San Jose, California, Unity Care provides critical assistance to at-risk and foster youth and their families throughout northern California. In operation for 24 years, the organization has established itself as a thought leader in the foster care services field. Unity Care holds national accreditation through the Council on Accreditation and has received numerous honors including “Nonprofit of the Year" award from 100 Black Men of Silicon Valley and official recognition at the 2015 California Alliance Conference.

Unity Care focuses on creating healthier youth, families and communities through its Five Pillars of Success. The first pillar, Housing, ensures that foster children have a safe and stable home by providing residential and transitional housing for former foster youth and extremely low income families. The second and third pillars, Education and Employment, strive to teach critical life skills and career preparedness to all program participants. Unity Care also provides a range of mental health and adult mentors through its fourth and fifth pillars, Well-Being and Unconditional Care.
